Unfortunately it most likely is not....bummer.....This is a very common misconception that we hear all the time. The truth is that when people claim that something is Hemp Plastic, they are actually referring to a bio-composite that has Hemp as the bio-based filler or reinforcement fiber. The polymer may or may not be bio-based as well. The difference in the language is subtle, but the implications of the statement and its perception can mean a great deal to industries and ultimately consumers.

The truth is that to the best of our knowledge, there really is no commercially available bio-based plastic polymer derived from Hemp feed stock.
